We recently launched a new website for Marengo Academy, located in Marengo County, Alabama. The K-12 school is a member of the Alabama Independent School Association and won the AISA Blue Ribbon for 2010-2011. Marengo Academy exemplifies excellence in teaching, student performance, school life, and school-community interaction to be able to achieve this award. Marengo Academy focuses on working together as faculty, parents and students and take pride in creating new ways to foster individual student development, community involvement and local school pride. One such activity that is promoted at Marengo Academy is the Marengo Academy Annual Youth Hunt, where students and faculty have the chance to hunt trophy white tail deer on some of the most undisturbed and carefully managed property in Marengo County.

We designed the new Marengo County website with the needs of students and faulty in mind. Each faculty member has his/her own page to post content to and keep updated as they see fit so their students can be able to check homework assignments and contact their teachers via email if necessary. There is also a posts section on the site, allowing for educational, sports, and just about anything else that students and faculty need to know. Also, there have been two forms created for the site for the MA Annual Deer Hunt and for future student registration information. Marengo Academy also has a new, streamlined look that is very user friendly and easy to navigate. Parents of prospective students may use the custom contact form that was provided for the registration information page, instead of having to search for a number to call. Also, we added a custom contact form for the Marengo Academy Annual Deer Hunt. Parents of current students can request information about the hunt. Both forms contact the correct corresponding individual that manages the event or list.

We at Southeastern Strategy were delighted to work with all of the faculty and staff of Marengo Academy throughout this process. The academic website was a new process for us to undertake, however we were able to meet and, in many ways, exceed the expectations of faculty and students. We hope that those using the new Marengo Academy website will enjoy it for years to come.
